Oticon Zeal — Now Available at Hearing Doctors of the Heartland

"I just don't want people to know I'm wearing one." We hear this all the time. It's one of the biggest reasons people put off treating hearing loss, and honestly, it's an understandable  concern. Oticon took that concern seriously with their newest hearing aid, Oticon Zeal — and it's now available at Hearing Doctors of the Heartland.

Finally, a Hearing Aid You Can't See

Zeal sits entirely inside your ear canal. In Oticon's own testing, it was invisible or barely visible in 94% of ears.

What makes Zeal different from other invisible-style hearing aids is what it doesn't ask you to give up. In the past, going invisible meant accepting weaker sound quality, no rechargeability, or limited phone connectivity. Zeal was built to eliminate that trade-off. You get the full package: powerful sound processing, Bluetooth streaming, rechargeable batteries — all in a device that fits entirely in your ear canal.

Sound Quality That Works Without You Thinking About It

Inside Zeal is Oticon's most advanced sound processing chip, paired with AI-driven technology that constantly adapts to your surroundings. You don't have to tap a button or switch programs when you walk from a noisy restaurant into a quiet conversation. The hearing aid handles that automatically.

This matters especially in noisy places — which is where most hearing aids fall short. Oticon's data shows Zeal delivers meaningfully clearer speech in background noise compared to older processing systems. If you've tried hearing aids before and found them frustrating in loud environments, that improvement is worth paying attention to.

Charging That Keeps Up With Your Day

Gone are the tiny disposable batteries that ran out at the worst possible times. Zeal has a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts up to 20 hours on a single charge — enough for a full day.

Short on time? A 15-minute charge gives you four hours of use. A 30-minute charge gets you eight. The compact charging case also holds enough power for three full charges, so you're covered when you're away from home.

Streaming, Apps, and Staying Connected

Zeal connects directly to your iPhone or Android phone, TV, tablet, or PC without needing an intermediate device. You can stream audio, take hands-free phone calls, and use the Oticon Companion app to adjust volume, bass, and treble right from your phone — no reaching for your ear in the middle of a conversation.

Zeal also supports Auracast, a newer broadcast technology appearing in airports, theaters, and hospitals. Where it's available, you can connect directly to the venue's audio feed for noticeably cleaner sound in large public spaces.

You Could Leave with Hearing Aids Today

Custom in-the-ear hearing aids have traditionally meant a multi-step process — ear impressions, a lab wait, a return appointment. Zeal changes that. Most patients can be fit the same day using dome fittings we already have in the office.

If you'd prefer a more customized fit, micro-molds are available too. But for the majority of patients, there's no waiting. You come in, we fit you, and you go home hearing better.
